TV commercials for food are heavily skewed towards products that are high in fat and sugar but low in vitamins.
  • Most food ads are for processed and fast foods, and studies show that advertising influences what types of food people prefer. Commercials have long been criticized for pushing people toward unhealthy foods Advertisements have a big impact on the typical diet. The cereals that are most heavily marketed to kids are the ones that are highest in sugar and sodium and lowest in fibre.
